The Role

Council is seeking applications to fill the Water and Sewer Planning Manager position.

To be successful in this position you must have a degree in Civil Engineering (or other relevant engineering discipline acceptable for membership to the Institute of Engineers Australia), or recognised degree in other discipline with relevant experience to the position. The applicant will possess skills in investigation, strategy development, estimating and design of water supply and sewerage infrastructure works. The applicant will also have proven staff management skills, demonstrate competence in managing priorities to meet planning, programs and strategy, well-developed verbal and written communication skills and sophisticated computer skills. The applicant will hold a current Class C Drivers License and have a thorough understanding of Work Health and Safety Legislation.

Desirable qualifications include experience in processing development applications with respect to the provision of water supply and sewerage facilities. A working knowledge of Mike Urban Hydraulic software or similar and knowledge of the Water Management Act 2000 (NSW). A thorough knowledge of the calculation of charges for water supply and sewerage infrastructure used in developer servicing plans.

Remuneration

This is a permanent full time position with remuneration at Grade 19, being in the range of $102,061.40-$114,876.50 per annum for a 35 hour week, plus 9.5% superannuation.

A novated/associate lease vehicle option will be made available to successful candidate.
